On Sunday June 30th, 2019, TSGT. Oscar Galindo Sr., loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at the age of 83.

Born May 1st, 1936 in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico to Feliciano Galindo and Eloisa Alvarez, Oscar proudly served as an Airman in the United States Air Force. He served in Vietnam during the height of Agent Orange and once flew back to base with only one working engine after taking a hit by enemy fire. It was during service that he met his true love, Elodia Rocha, while at a dance in Big Spring, Texas. They would marry on December 17, 1960. He retired as Tech Sergeant from the Air Force after 22 years of dedicated service. He obtained an Associates Degree in Automotive Engineering and worked at General Motors Desert Proving grounds and retired at the age of 65 as Safety Engineer.

Oscar was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his family. He was a natural teacher and passed along many life-skills to anyone who would sit down to listen. He held a passion for classic cars, airplanes, and tinkering with any and all motorized devices. He was happiest when he shared these hobbies with his children and their children. Beloved by all who knew him, Oscar was a kind soul who was just as quick with a witty joke as he was to impart his sage wisdom.

Oscar is survived by wife Elodia, his four children: Lydia Ortiz (Daniel Ortiz), Oscar Jr, David, and Joel (Barbara Galindo), and his 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
