Obituary

Larry was born and raised in Iowa, the third of six children, of Clarence and Marie (Deiber) Staller. He started working as a lineman for Western Union, and served in the US Navy during WWII as a SEABEE, spending time in New Guinea during the war. After WWII, he went back to work for Western Union, where he worked until he retired in 1980. At Western Union, Larry worked as a lineman, then as a service technician where he installed and repaired teletype, TWX, and telex equipment. His job took him across the midwest, where he met and married his wife, Grace Margaret Arnold, in Ohio.

After retiring, Larry and Grace moved to Arizona. Larry volunteered for numerous organizations, including the Gilbert Senior Center, the Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, and Saint Ann's Catholic Church. Larry and Grace enjoyed camping, visiting their children, traveling the United States, and touring internationally.

Larry is survived by his sister, Maxine Brink, his brother, Merlin, six children (David and his wife Gayle, Janet, Rose Urbach and her husband Mark, Joe and his wife Valerie, Mark and his wife Linda, and John), eleven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
