Obituary

Jean Ann Schave passed away peacefully in the early morning hours February 3, 2019, from advanced Alzheimer’s disease in a private care facility in Chandler, AZ. She has been reunited with her late husband Floyd, whom she’s missed dearly since his passing.

Jean Ann Krause was born outside of Chicago, Illinois on March 22, 1946 to parents Willard and Rose Krause. She is preceeded in death by her parents and brother John (Jack) Krause.
Jean is survived by her brother Robert, three daughters, Holly Dana, Carie Pratt, and Jill Sherrin. Sons-in-laws, Kurt Dana, Randy Pratt, and Todd Sherrin and 6 grand-children, Kyler, Jacob, Mattison, Finnley, Camryn and Bryce.

After being born and raised in Illinois, Jean met and married her one and only husband Floyd Dean Schave on November 11, 1967, and over the next 10 years welcomed three children into the world. In 1978, when she was 34, Jean, Floyd and their girls, moved to Mesa, AZ. She had many friends, most that were lifelong, and was known for her laugh (which could often be heard from across any room) and her ability to befriend strangers no matter where she went. Hardly a store clerk, waitress or shoe salesman could escape an unexpected conversation with her. Jean loved Bunco nights, lunches with friends, shopping, tennis, golf, and traveling. One of her favorite places to go after the kids were grown was their cabin in Show Low, AZ where her and Floyd enjoyed sitting on their patio in the pines drinking a cup of coffee, taking walks, and driving around the neighborhood in the golf cart. Above all, she loved spending 44 years with her beloved husband, and being surrounded by her daughters, their husbands and her beautiful grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery on Saturday February 16th at 11:45 am.
