Obituary

Eusebio Maximillian “Max” Luna, 84 years old was born, March 23, 1935 in St. John’s, Arizona to the late Eusebio Luna & Maria Romero. On April 1, 2019, Max Luna passed away peacefully in Gilbert, Arizona surrounded by his loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Ana, Francis, Eddie and Andrew; his daughter, Marcela Luna. He is survived by his Beloved wife of 38 years, Otilia Luna; Cherished children, Norma Kuehl and spouse Kevin Kuehl, Laura Luna Bellucci and spouse Adam Bellucci, and Antonio V. Luna; Treasured grandchildren, Morgan Kuehl, Stephen Kuehl, Jacklyn Kuehl, Isabel Bellucci and Diella Bellucci; Beloved siblings Gabriel Luna and Barbara Douros.
Max was in the Air Force for 3 years and was proud of his service. He found joy in singing and listening to music. Throughout his life, he enjoyed playing basketball and baseball, performing in plays, taking long drives with his family, and was an avid bowler. Max served as a cantor and participated in his parish choirs for many years. He had the honor of singing for Pope John Paul II in 1987 when the Pope visited Los Angeles, California. Max was most proud of his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Max was a loving, giving and lighthearted man. He was beloved by his family and his presence will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers the family requests online donations be made to Hospice of the Valley in his memory as his last days were spent in the care of the dedicated team of Lund Home.
